Larry Altenbaumer

InDecatur Ventures, LLC is managed by Larry Altenbaumer, who served as president and CEO of Illinois Power Company and represents nearly 34 years of diverse experience in the energy and utility industry, including nearly ten years as CFO.

As president, he was responsible for all activities of Illinois Power, a gas and electric energy delivery company serving more than 650,000 customers throughout Illinois. He is recognized as a leader in achieving comprehensive and balanced legislation for regulatory reform in Illinois resulting in a framework that is considered to be among the best in the nation.

During his tenure, he also led the company's effort that resulted in the merger with Dynegy; following the completion of the merger, he headed the company's transition efforts that realized all of the targeted synergies and established Illinois Power as a leader in Illinois in terms of operating reliability and customer service.
